On Thursday, August 20th, I bought $350 at this exchange house called Global CC Av Chile. A gray-haired man with a Paisa accent served me; there was no one else around. I went to the bathroom and walked down to catch the TransMilenio bus. The man didn't give me a receipt, I didn't sign one, and he didn't ask what I was buying the money for, as is common practice at other exchange houses. At 72nd and 15th, two men with guns approached me, and the first thing they demanded was my wallet. The only security camera that saw where I had the money was Global's. They took my backpack, which contained my laptop and camera. Be careful about buying dollars at CC Av Chile. There are better places, and I just found out today that there's a dollar app called DolarApp, an application for buying digital dollars.
