  A small money changer next to a bank. USD to COP 3880 as of today, they don’t display rates. I asked the bank staff if this place was OK, they also helped check if notes were real. Everything seems fine. I’m not sure if the rates were better than elsewhere nearby, but it was slightly better than the airport.

  We tried to buy dollars, but they only gave us old bills, which aren't accepted at any store, bank, or anywhere else. My family and I have had to struggle with payments and use alternative methods because we're stuck.

  I went to this exchange house to buy some dollars because they have acceptable rates. A man with a somewhat unusual dark complexion but friendly served me. I finished my errand and left on my motorcycle to go to a doctor's appointment when some criminals on a motorcycle accosted me with guns and stole the dollars I had just bought. You don't need to be a police officer to understand that this was all a rumor. Don't go to that house; dangerous thieves work there. They almost killed me.

  Apparently, this type of theft is common at this exchange house, where employees provide information to third parties who then approach people after they've exchanged their money and rob them. It happened to me almost two months ago. These kinds of establishments shouldn't exist because they steal people's hard-earned savings.
